Custom Business Card Boxes Key Features:
- Sized to the card, not to a guess. Dielines are built around the 3.5" x 2" Canadian standard, plus custom sizes for square, slim, or folded cards.
- Three stock families. 12pt to 24pt cardboard for sharp colour, kraft for a recyclable natural finish, rigid chipboard for a heavier premium feel.
- Four box styles. Tuck front, two-piece lid and base, tray and sleeve, and hexagon two-piece.
- Dividers that hold cards upright. Order inserts in the same stock or a contrast colour so cards stay in rows and do not jumble.
- Full colour control. CMYK for photographic artwork, Pantone (PMS) for exact brand colour matching.
- Finishing that gets noticed. Matte or gloss lamination, spot UV, gold or silver foiling, embossing, debossing, and inside printing.
- No die and plate charges. The mould and cutting plate cost you nothing, at any quantity.
- Flat shipped and pre-glued. Boxes arrive flat to cut freight cost, then fold up in seconds.
Why Business Card Packaging Is Worth the Line Item
A business card box does two jobs at once. It stops the stack from creasing in a drawer or a trade show bag, and it gives the handover a moment of weight.
Loose cards curl at the corners. Bent cards get thrown away. A 12pt cardboard box holding 100 cards fixes that for a few cents per unit.
Print shops, real estate offices, salons, and design studios in Toronto, Vancouver, and Montreal use these boxes as counter display units too. Print your logo on the lid, leave the base plain, and it works as a desk piece instead of storage.
Choosing Your Stock and Style
Start with how the box will be used, then pick the stock.
- Cardboard (12pt to 24pt) is the default for a reason. It runs beautifully on offset presses, holds fine text and gradients, and costs the least. Choose 12pt to 14pt for a lightweight giveaway box, and 18pt to 24pt if the box sits on a counter and gets handled daily.
- Kraft is the pick for eco-conscious brands. The brown surface takes one and two colour printing well, but it mutes bright artwork. Test a sample first if your logo relies on vivid colour.
- Rigid chipboard is for premium presentation. A two-piece rigid box does not fold flat, so freight costs more, but it opens with that slow lift that signals a high-end brand.
- For style, a tuck front box is quick to open and refill. Two-piece boxes give the strongest unboxing feel. Tray and sleeve works well when you want the sleeve to carry the branding and the tray to stay plain.
